At Panthers Martial Arts Academy we currently have 2 excellent and experience instructors:

Sensei Kire Antoski

Sensei Kire Antoski

Chief Instructor Sensei Kire began Martial Arts Training in 1976 in Macedonia studying Karate. In 1982 he started competing in national competitions and turned semi-professional in 1984,  the same year in which he began studying Ju Jutsu. He began Kickboxnig in1985 and in 1987 gained his 1st Dan Black Belt in Karate. In 1990 sensei Kire moved with his young family to Emgland. In 1994 he founded his own Kickboxing and Ju Jutsu club  name Yeovil Panthers, and continued his studies and gained two further 1st Dan Black Belts in Kickboxing and Ju Jutsu. Two years later in 1996 he gained the Brithish Ju Jutsu title and later the same year gained his 2nd Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing and Ju Jutsu. Following this he entered into Full Contact Kickboxing and won his way to the top undefeated, becoming one of the top fighters in his category in the UK. Since then Sensei Kire has gained many other martial arts qualifications:

             1998 - 3rd Dan Black Belt in Ju Jutsu and Kickboxing

             2002 - 4th Dan Black Belt in Ju Jutsu and Kickboxing

             2005 - 1st Dan Black Belt in Tai Jutsu

             2007 - 5th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxning

             2008 - 2nd Dan Black Belt in Tai Jutsu

             2012 - 3rd Dan Black Belt in Tai Jutsu

             2012 - 6th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing

             2021 - 5th Dan Black Belt in Classical Ju Jutsu & Kenjutsu

             2022 - 7th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing

Bodymax Fitness Instructor Carla Mcleod Bunter

Bodymax Fitness Instructor Carla Mcleod Bunter

Carl Mcleon Bunter qualify as Fitness Exercise to Music instructor  1999.  and ins also a qualified Gym Instructor. She has further qualifications in Nutrition & Weight Management. Carla joined Panthers Martial Arts Academy in 2011, qualifying as BodyMaX Fitness Instructor in 2015. Under the supervision of Sensei Kire Antoski, she has now started training in K1 kickboxbing with the goal of becoming an instructor in this Martial Arts as well.

Sensei Angela Parken

Sensei Angela Parken

Angela Parken joined Panthers Martial Arts Academy in 2012, training Kendo and Kenjutsu. With her passion for Samurai sword, she passed all gradings with excellent marks and a few years later, was offered the opportunity to join the CIT instructors course.

Angela also showed interest in competing in the National championships in Iaido (Kenjutsu) traditional forms - kata and it wasn't long before she achieved the WAKO GB British Title in 2019. In December 2021 Angela she became a Master in Kenjutsu by achieving 1st Degree Black Belt.  

Sensei Gary Stubbs

Sensei Gary Stubbs

Gary began his Martial Arts journey in traditional Karate in both the Bujinkai and Godo Ryu styles. He won a team bronze medal at the 1994 UKASKO British Championships and developed the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Martial Arts Association becoming their President and competing in three Inter Services competitions representing the Royal Navy in kumite. He currently trains in K1 Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and has competed in Grapple and Strike and classical Ju Jutsu, winning the Sport Ju Jutsu British Heavyweight title at the Tai Jutsu Kai National Championships in 2010. He is also a National Sport Ju Jutsu referee in the BJJAGB. His knowledge and enthusiasm for traditional Martial Arts creates a great learning atmosphere and is a valuable member of the instructional team.
